I think that this was easy because I got help from Moriah . What I need to do better is to do this on my own.

Geometry - 3D shapes

My reflection

I am learning to recognise and describe 3.D shapes using mathematical language.I found it easy because i have seen shapes like these before. My next step is to

Learning about fractions

What is a fair share ? It means everyone gets the same size part or same number
What is the numerator ? the number that is shaded
What is the denomin ? it means the number at the top
What does equal mean ? It means the same
What does a fracsoin look like ? bottom number in the whole many parts in the whole

my recount

I have been learning about fractions and to cut in half.  I found this hard because I'm still not sure about fractions.  My next step is to keep learning more.

Round Numbers to the nearest 10 and 100

I have been working on my round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.  I found this quite hard because I didn't really know how to do this before.
My next step is to round numbers to the nearest 100 and 1000.

Place Value

I was learning to read numbers up to 100 and to say which is bigger or smaller.

The thing that helped me most was:
- remembering to look at the left to see if the digits are bigger
- using streets and houses to break up bigger numbers
- realising that the success criteria doesn’t change when the numbers get bigger
- seeing patterns in the numbers that don’t change when they get bigger
- practising on Mathletics

My next step is to:

- try the same activity suing bigger numbers
- use this information to move problems

Learning to use skip counting.

I used skip counting to help me solve the multiplication problems. I found it easy and fun because I am good at skip counting in 2s and 5s. My next step with multiplication is to learn some other strategies to help me solve problems faster.

Learning my basic facts.

I have been using mathletics to help me learn my basic facts.

I think the answer will be 15 because if it was ten plus six it would be 16 so nine plus six will be 15.

I like using mathletics because it helps me with my learning.
